Mrs. Maja TurkovićCo-founder and Board member of the Association for Sustainable Development Serbia
Mrs. Maja Turković has specialized in the field of sustainable energy over the course of a professional career lasting more than 20 years. She was engaged in advisory and consultancy work, government affairs, private equity investments and CSO.
Mrs. Turković started her career at Electrical Engineering Institute Nikola Tesla in Belgrade, and later held position of the Assistant minister for the Power sector in the Ministry of Energy, Government of Serbia. She was one of the pioneers of wind energy industry development in Serbia, through her engagement in the Serbian Wind Energy Association, and as a co-owner and director of the first large-scale wind project in Serbia.
Mrs. Turković is working today in strategic investment planning and consulting in the field of renewable energy; and as an advisor in the field of sustainable energy policy and regulation. She is a co-founder and Board member of the Association for Sustainable Development, and is also engaged in the establishment of the WISE SEE network (Women in Sustainable Energy South East Europe).
Mrs. Turković is author of more than 20 published conference papers & articles, as well as co-author of a number of studies in the field of power systems and RES deployment.
Mrs. Turković holds a Masters degree from the University of Belgrade‘s Faculty of Electrical Engineering and an MBA from Imperial College London‘s Tanaka Business School.
