The Energy Management Institute (ЕMI) is a non-governmental organization that started its operation in June 2010 with the mission to contribute to the sustainable development of the Bulgarian energy sector and its integration to the European Union. By improved international cooperation and utilization of international experience EMI aims to implement in Bulgaria worldwide established best practices. EMI as a public institute for energy policy offers innovative ideas in the field of energy policy by participating in the energy policy debate with its studies, providing a neutral platform for contacts and information exchange and creating an effective network and partnership in the diverse fields. EMI also contributes to the improvement of qualifications of professional, expert and academic public and to achieve better understanding in energy issues and accumulation of public knowledge on energy topics, by making relevant comprehensive information available in active cooperation with media.
Since March 2014 EMI is a fully fledged Bulgarian member of the biggest association on electricity industry in Europe - EURELECTRIC.
